On November 19, 2017, Heaven gained a special angel, our most beloved Yvonne. Yvonne was born August 12, 1954 in Queens, NY. She attended NYC Public Schools, and for a few years worked in the healthcare industry at Elmhurst Hospital in Queens. Her love of fashion and glamour inspired her to attend Barbizon Modeling & Beauty School.
Yvonne was often referred to as a “Diva” because she so enjoyed dressing up, dressing up others, and pampering herself. She was a lady who lived her life out loud, always expressing a care-free spirit and making everyone around her laugh until they cried at times. All who knew her will most assuredly have many, many funny stories and memories of their times spent with Yvonne. She was one of a kind in every way, and one that will truly be missed by us all.
Yvonne was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Brown; parents, Ellis and Minnie Waldo; sister, Susan Bennett, and a niece Tasha Waldo.
Left to cherish her memories are six sisters; Diana Waldo of Staten Island, NY, Carolyn West of Greensboro, NC, Linda (Jimmy) Manning of High Point, NC, Marilyn (Mark) Smith of Queens, NY, Donna (Gilbert) Trammell of McDonough GA, and Robin Waldo of High Point, NC; two brothers, Ellis Waldo, Jr of Queens NY, Jeffrey (Tonya) Waldo of Greensboro, NC; special niece and nephew Tanisha Pratt of High Point, NC, and Koby Goode of Greensboro, NC; special friend, John Bennett; and a host of other loving family members and dear friends.
