On January 2, 1988, William Leonard McInnis III was welcomed info this world by his parents, Mary Elizabeth McInnis and James Johnson. William was born with a good personality, outspoken and the leader of his family. He was known as “Tripp” because of his sense of humor. He considered himself as everybody’s daddy, including his mother! He enjoyed playing dice, puzzles, video games and was the grill master when he cooked on the grill.
Tripp earned the true title of fatherhood with the birth of his daughter, Samara Ray. He spent most of his time with his soul-mate, Tomecia Ray and became united as a family. Tripp loved to give advice to the youth and help guide them into the right direction. He would often volunteer at his time at his daughter’s school.
He was greeted by other family member when he transitioned on Monday. September 9, 2019.
Honoring his legacy includes: his mother, Mary McInnis of High Point, NC; his father, James Johnson of South Carolina; daughter, Samara Ray and a son he considered his own, Isaiah Hicks; his companion, Tomecia Ray all of High Point, NC; sisters, Antineal McInnis, Anna McInnis, Kim Cooper all of High Point, NC, Jamie Johnson and Myeshia McIntyre; brother, Alphonso Johnson of South Carolina; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, numerous cousins and many friends.
