William Frank Baker

February 23, 1949 — August 31, 2023

William Frank Baker departed this earthly on August 31,2023. He was born on February 23,1949, in Rowland, North Carolina to the late Simpson Baker Sr., and Mary Kate Baker.
William received his education from Randolph County Public School Syster. He graduated from trinity High School. William served in the United States Army and North Carolina National Guard for nearly ten years. He attended Guilford Technical Community College in Jamestown, North Carolina, there he received his Associate Degree in Electrical Engineer and became the first African American electrician employed by IBM in North Carolina. He later became independent contractor until his retirement.
William leaves behind cherished memories to his beloved children, Brian, Angela Wade, Debra Lane and Evera Spicer and Conrena (deceased). his siblings who preceded him in death, Bishop Simpson Baker, Jr., Rev. Carl Baker and Magelena Baker.
Surviving siblings are Cathy (Ralph) Gray, Marilyn (Bill) Culbert and Wallace (Barbara) Baker and a host of grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
