Wanda Gail Shaw, daughter of the late Thomas Shaw and Mamie Shaw, she was born on December 31,1965, in High Point, NC. She departed this earthly life on July 5, 2006, after a brief illness. She was a graduate of High Point Central High School where shew was a member of the Women's Basketball and Volleyball Teams. She also attended App State University, at the time of her departure she was employed by the Guilford County School System for over 15 years. She was known for her charming personality and great sense of humor. Wanda always has a bright smile on her face showing her pretty white teeth. She was beautiful outside and even more beautiful on the inside. She was greatly attached to her family and friends.
Wanda joined Living Water Baptist Church at an early age then later moved her membership to Life Changing Ministries. In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by three uncles Gelzer Macon, James Franklin and Willie J. Long, one aunt, Willie Mae Livingston.
Surviving to cherish her loving and fond memories include one daughter, Kelli L. Lindsay, one son, Jalen A. McCall both of the home, her loving and devoted mother, Maie Shaw, one brother, Timothy W. Shaw, one sister, Christi D. Shaw all of High Point, NC, uncles, Arlease Macon, Perneil (Shirley) Shaw, James Shaw and Larry Shaw, aunts, Lizzie (Joe) Sanders, Lily Mae (Willie) Ryan Long, Lily Mae (Willie James) McKvian, Annie Mae Smith, Ryan Long, Lily Mae Macon, Rachel (Wayne) Sanders, JoAnn (Tom) Sanders, one special sister, Sherkica McIntyre, a god-son, Cameron Wright and special friends which include, Tarita Miller, Faith Dockery, Tammy Emiohe, Sonya Miller, Wanda Boatwright, Patricia Townsend and Cynthia Taylor and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends, although not named you were very dear to her heart. The family expresses sincere thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at High Point Regional Hospital, Kindred Hospital, Forsyth Memorial, Winston Salem Rehabilitation, Stephanie White, Shirley Miller, Margaret Miller and Wanda Miller, family and friends for many acts of kindness extended during our time of sorrow.
