Walter Singleton

Walter Scott Singleton was born tot the late Sarah and Thomas Singleton on September 5, 1940, in McClellanville, SC., he departed this life to be with his holy father on January 12,2007.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

Walter lived in High Point, NC for over 30 years and was employed by Carolina Thrift where he met two special friends, Diane and Delores, until his health failed.

During his life, Walter was joined in holy matrimony with Alberta Blocker and in this union bore 3 daughters, Avanda Flagg of McClellanvile, SC, Joyce Gilliard of Charlotte, NC and Anna Singleton of Columbia, SC. He was remarried to Brenda Boogan in 2001. He added to addition with 3 more daughters, Thawanda Boogan, Tokishia Carelock and Brenda Boogan all of Wadesboro, NC.

Walter leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Brenda, 3 daughters. 5 grandchildren, Miesha Pack, Jasmine Pack of Charlotte, NC, Dontae Singleton (Angelina) of Columbia, SC, Sherry Singleton of McClellanville, SC and Darren Singleton (Rema) of Charleston, SC, 6 great grandchildren, Timeiha and Tyrell Gethers, D'Arjae Patton, Salim Hicks, Jada Singleton and Shanelle Singleton, 2 brothers, Clarence Singleton of Charlotte, NC and Julius Singleton of McClellanville, SC and 1 sister, Sarah Ann Singleton of Bronx, NY and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Walter will be greatly missed.
