Mrs. Virginia Mae Rubin Turner, age 66 of High Point, NC departed this earthly life on Sunday, October 25, 2015 at Hospice Home at High Point. She was born July 13, 1949 to the late Clio Sr. and Roberta Rubin in Darlington, SC. She graduated from Darlington High School. Virginia was married to the late Howard Thomas Jr. and relocated to New York. She was blessed with three children and was a homemaker. Virginia relocated to Thomasville, NC and joined Friendship Missionary Baptist Church where she was a member for over 30 years. She recently joined Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in High Point, NC. She was preceded in death by one daughter; Carla T. Boggan; one brother and four sisters. Those left behind that are saddened by her passing include two sons; Leon (Linda) Thomas and Steve Thomas all of High Point; adopted daughter, Kimberly (Keith) Kinard of High Point, NC; granddaughter, Kiera (Brandon) Boggan of Flint, MI; great grandchildren, TyShaune, Kahleil, Kiahjie and Keith Brown; sisters; Margaret Poole, Patricia Murray, Shirley Rubin, Tommy Rubin all of New York, Geneva Hodges of Florence, SC, Nancy Rubin of Darlington, SC, Cleo Ross of Atlanta, GA, and Betty Bright of Laurinburg, NC; brothers, Charlie James of New Jersey, Clio Jr. “Bobby” Rubin of Greensboro, NC, Benjamin Rubin, Freddie Rubin both of SC and Wilbert Rubin of Atlanta, GA; special friend, Preston McKay; best friends, RoAnna Love, Sarah Heart, Valeria Baldwin; a host of other relatives and friends.
