Vernal Arbie Bibb

Vernal Arbie Bibb was born in Saginaw, Michigan on March 9, 1956, to William Arbie and Johnnie Mae Bibb. Vernal departed his life on October 16, 2023.

He was preceded in death by his father, William A. Bibb; mother, Johnnie M. Bibb; one brother, Anthony D. Simmons.

Vernal was a beautiful person who embraced anyone he encountered. He loved Jesus and would often travel great distances to attend church. He was full of surprises and often spoke of matters far beyond his presumed abilities. Vernal enjoyed watching Westerns and sitcoms from the 1960s and 1970s. He also loved the “Motown Sound” and enjoyed listening to music on the radio. Vernal loved great food and would often speak of what he wanted to see on the dinner menu. We will miss him dearly and are grateful for the time we spent together and all the wonderful memories.

He leaves behind a brother, Alan J. Simmons, and sisters, Mary Simmons, and Jamesetta “Jamie” Brown; six nieces, Jondrea Simmons, Jamena King, Jessica Johnson, Tiffany Sneed, and Mariah Hill of NC, and Ashley Johnson of CA; four nephews, Maurico Jackson, and Corris Brown from NC, Anthony Simmons Jr. “AJ, and Christopher Trotter, both of Detroit, MI; a host of great nieces, nephews, relatives, and acquaintances.

A Memorial Service will be held at a Later Date.
