Tyreek Sparks

Tyreek was born on December 9, 1992 in Philadelphia, PA to Terrence Sparks, Sr. and Vanell Walker. He graduated from High Point Central High School in 2011, where he was known for his athletic abilities.  He was a prominent football player and track star.  He earned an athletic scholarship to North Carolina Central University along with an abundance of awards and trophies for his accomplishments in Regional State and National competitions as a triple jumper.

Tyreek left an impressible mark on the hearts of anyone he came in contact with.  He was a humble, loyal, and motivational person. When it came to his family he was “the backbone” that always kept his family together.  Tyreek and his mother had a bond that was unbreakable and unconditional.  Tyreek and his brother TJ also had a strong relationship.

There are not enough words to describe how amazing of a father Tyreek was to his son Tyreek II aka, “Deuce.” The time, patience, and sacrifices that Tyreek made for his son was like no other.  When you saw Tyreek, you also seen Deuce.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Linda “Tootsie” Griffin and Michael “Pops” Jackson

Those left to cherish his memories includes: his son, Tyreek Naquan Sparks II, his parents, Terrence Sparks, Sr. (Zenatta), Vanell Walker (Rasheed); brother, Terrence “TJ” Sparks, Jr,; a loving god sister, Morgan Jackson; the love of his life, Ranaa “Faye” Bibbs; his uncles, Nathaniel Griffin, Mitchell (Nakysha) Chapman; aunts, Tameeka (Robert) Hawkins, Latonya Curry,  grandmothers, Celestine Williams and Meriem Jackson; great auntie, Denise “aunt Nissie” Whitfield and great uncle, William “uncle Boo” Whitfield; as well as a niece, nephews, a host of cousins, friends, and god parents, Tonya and Tara; Tyreek will also be missed by very close friends, Anderson, Jeremy, James, Trell, Shane and "Q."
