Tony Martin

Tony Stephan Martin, age 51 of Greensboro, NC departed this earthly life on Monday, September 13, 2021, at Moses H. Cone Hospital.

He was born on August 10, 1970, in Greensboro, NC.

Tony received his former education in the Guilford County Public Schools. A resident of Greensboro all his life, Tony was married to LaTonya Martin, and they have been together for 25 years.  He loved his family and was always willing to help anybody.  He had a great sense of humor and always wanted to make people laugh.   Tony was a great husband, father, son, brother and uncle.

He worked as a laborer contractor with International Tradesmen.  He was also a man of other skills where he performed in home improvements such as pressure washing, lawn maintenance, painting, etc.  His passion, however, was roofing which he worked for over 30 years.

He was preceded in death by his father, Carlton P. Martin Sr; sons, Tony Martin Jr and Isaiah Williamson; grandparents, Holmer McAdoo (Louise) and Ruth Hairston; mother-in-law, Margaret Thorpe

He leaves to cherish in memory his wife, LaTonya Martin of the home; two sons, Quincy Martin and Emmanuel (Manny) Martin; one daughter, Ayontal Martin; his mother, Lynda Kimber (Tommy); one sister, Faye Hairston (Jerry); two brothers, Carlton Martin Jr. (Carol) and Jerome Martin (Sagirah); host of nieces, nephews, great nephew and nieces, relatives and friends.
