Theodore Pearson

March 31, 1966 — April 27, 2020

Theodore Pearson, 54, better known as “The Bear” was born on March 31, 1966 to the late Willie and Nealie Pearson in Bennettsville, SC. He peacefully departed this life on Monday April 27, 2020 at Wesley Long Hospital in Greensboro, NC.

He graduated from McColl High School in 1984. Theodore was an employee of Thomas Built Buses, where he had worked for 30 years. He was a very loving and kind person. He never met a stranger. Theodore would give anyone the shirt off his back if they needed it. He loved to sing, entertain and he was the Life of the Party. He thoroughly enjoyed his yearly trips to the Black Bike Week at Myrtle Beach, SC. He attended Love and Faith Christian Fellowship in Greensboro, NC.

In addition to his parents, six brothers Ulysses Pearson, James Pearson, Willie Pearson, Walter Pearson, Frank Pearson and Bobby Pearson; two sisters Alice Mae Smith and Jackie Pearson; one sister-in-law Emma Pearson and one brother-in-law Frank Bristow all preceded in his death.

Theodore leaves to cherish his memory: two sons; Darius Pearson and Terry (Lakita) White Sr. both of High Point, NC; ten grandchildren and one great grandchild; two brothers Earl (Peggy) Pearson, and David Pearson all of High Point, NC; five sisters Lula Bristow, Magalene Pearson, Martha (Luis) Pearson, Mary (Douglas) Smith all of High Point, NC and Joyce Pearson of Aberdeen, NC; one sister-in-law Mary Ann Pearson. Also a host of special nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends that loved him dearly.
