Teresa Harrington

Ms. Teresa Renee H arrington, age 52, departed this earthly life unexpectedly on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center-High Point Medical Park. Teresa was born in High Point, North Carolina, on May 2, 1969, to Shirley Mae Smith Harrington and Theodore Howard Harrington. She was educated in the Guilford County Public Schools. She worked for various companies; the last was Altium Packaging. A resident of High Point all her life, Teresa was a woman of God and was devoted to her church. She was a loving and devoted mother. Her heart was precious for her children and grandchildren. She was a mother figure to those who would come to her home, and she made sure they would always leave with a full stomach. She made it her hobby to take family photos and keep them. Teresa was preceded in death by her father, Theodore Howard Harrington; three siblings, Cynthia Harrington, Steven Smith and Larry Harrington; her maternal grandparents, Minnie Green Smith and Morris Smith; paternal grandparents; her late husband, Eric Harrington; and one niece, Ya’Shica Townsend. She leaves to cherish her loving and beautiful memories to: her four children, Kelvin Jones, Swetasia Harrington, Shirley Harrington, and Lashenda Brown, all of High Point, North Carolina; her mother, Shirley Mae Smith Harrington of High Point, North Carolina; nine grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara (Robert) Turner and Amanda Bennett, both of High Point, North Carolina; companion, Jeffery Hilton of Winston Salem, North Carolina; a special cousin who was like a sister, Rhonda Perkins; a special cousin who she treated as her nephew, MontiQue Cook; her uncles, Lorenzo Smith of High Point, North Carolina, and Lorenzo (BobbyJean) Williams of South Carolina; and a host of other cousins that she had a special relationship with.
