Tashea Stewart

Tashea "Nae-Nae" Stewart, 37, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, March 25, 2011. Tashea was born April 4, 1973, in New York, NY. She is the daughter of Janice Stewart and Joseph King. "Nae-Nae," as she was known by many, graduated Columbus High School in New York and later attended Bronx Community College, NY.

Tashea joined Mt. Calvery Baptist Church in New York at an early age, where she sang in the youth and adult choirs under the pastoral leadership of Rev. James Peoples.

Nae Nae moved to High Point, NC, in 2001 and after visiting with many churches with her family and friends she later joined New Bethel Baptist Church.

Those left to cherish her memories include her mother, Janice Ferguson of the home; one son, Tyrek Dupree Jackson; two sisters, Heaven Stewart (Clarence) Jenkins and Angel Ferguson of high Point, NC; four brothers, Skyler Ferguson of High Point, NC, Rasaan King of New York, Shawn and Asa both of Florida; special aunts, Grace Murrell of New York, Ethel Betts of Concord, NC, Pauline Smith and Geraldine Blocker of High Point; although not named, there are a host uncles, cousins other family members and friends that where an important part of her life.
