Born in Rumbek, South Sudan, Mother Akec Malek, Father, Joseph Lueath. Her father could not afford to send all his children to school but advocated for Tabitha to receive an education.
She lost her father at a very early age, but Joseph's family fulfilled his wishes, ensuring Yom went to school.
Tabitha started school at Rumbek Secondary, her education was disrupted due to war in 1960. She relocated to Wau and was able to continue, along the way Tabitha discovered her love for teaching and obtained her teaching degree certificate in Khartoum.
Tabitha's time here on earth was devoted to her family, friends and most importantly, teaching, she was a remarkable woman that radiated love and kindness, her legacy will live through her six children, over 20 grandchildren and also great-grandchildren.
