Mrs. Sitrenia Owens Rawlinson departed this world on July 10, 2017 at the age of 91. She was born on November 7, 1925 in York County, South Carolina to Tommy Owens and Gertrude Barnett Owens who preceded her in death.
She was educated in the York County School System and after graduating she went to Cosmetology School and became a licensed Cosmetologist. In 1943 she married Horace Rawlinson, who preceded her in death, and they moved to High Point in 1948. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her daughter Virginia in 2004 and her son Dwight in 2016. She was employed for many years by Alderman Studios in High Point. Throughout her life she was a devout Christian and became a member of St. Stephens where she was an active until her health started to decline.
She leaves behind to morn her loss three sons, Greg of High Point, NC, Raymond of Arlington, VA and Byron(Gerry) of Danville, VA a daughter-in-law, Johnnie of Las Vegas, NV, six grandchildren, Monica and Traci of Las Vegas, NV, Danae of Austin, TX, Brittany of Richmond, VA, Steven David of Columbia, SC and Byron David of Norfolk, VA and three great-grandchildren, Marc, Danny and Malachi of Las Vegas, two brothers-in-law, James Rawlinson of Sumter, SC, Glenn Rawlinson of Rock Hill, SC and two sisters-in-law, Hattie Rawlinson Finch and Henrietta Rawlinson Phillips of Rock Hill, SC and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
