Sara Mae Lawson, 77, of High Point, North Carolina, passed way on December 26,
2014 peacefully in her sleep.
Sara confessed Christ at an early age and attended Zion Hill Missionary Baptist
Church in Bessemer, Alabama.
She relocated to New Bronx , New York in 1956 where she remained until 2010.
At which time she relocated to High Point, North Carolina where she remained
until her passing.
Sara was married to Charles Cambridge on May 11, 1974, he preceded her in death.
Sara is survived by three children, Charlena Manning, Bessemer, Alabama, Sonya
Sprinkle (James) of High Point North Carolina and Kettisha Cambridge of Bronx,
New York. Seven grandchildren, Robert Smith (Akia) of Columbus, OH, Shannon
Brown (Roland) Bessemer,Alabama, Tabitha Fuller (Frederick), Shalaka Rhodes,
Malachi Dulin, Octavia Cambridge all of High Point, North Carolina and Kendra
Cunningham (Randy) of Jacksonville, North Carolina. Seven great
grandchildren…two brothers, Frank Marks(Doris), Stephen Manning (Charlene) of
Atlanta , GA, two sisters Maxine Johnson, Shirley Powell both of Bessemer.A host
of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Sara is preceded in death by parents Felix Lawson and Mamie Manning: as well as
a brother John Lee Manning.
