Ruth Perkins

Mrs. Ruth Chandler Perkins, age 94, of High Point, NC passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at Westchester Manor. She was born to Charlie and Mary Streeter Sturdivant in Anson County, NC. Ruth was married to LaVander Perkins. She was an active member of Word of Life Tabernacle Church where she joyfully served as the mother of the church. Mother Perkins was predeceased by her husband, parents, one son, Willie Chandler, and a daughter, Margret Chandler. Family members who are saddened by her passing, but celebrate her home going includes; two daughters, Ozella Blue and Linda and her husband James Brown all of High Point; five sons, Booker T. Chandler, Otis (Ruby) Chandler, Rufus Chandler, Johnny (Phyllis) Chandler all of High Point, NC and Mart (Eugenia) Chandler of Mebane, NC; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
