Mrs. Ruth Mae Warren Baskin was born in Marlboro County, SC on April 27, 1954 to the late Ruthie McIver Harrington and June Bostic.
Mrs. Baskin has resided in High Point, NC for the past 48 years. In 1974, she was united in marriage to Josh Baskin, Jr.
Ruth was a member of Living Water Baptist Church. She served on the Mother’s Board and worked for Guilford County School system until her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Leonard Warren, Richard Alexander Warren, and Robert Lee Warren; sisters, Ella Noir Harrington, Cynthia Harrington, Helen McQueen, and Clara Mae James.
Surviving to cherish her memory include her husband of the home Josh Baskin Jr, son Micheal (Mechon) McKever of Harrisburg, NC; daughter, Nichole Baskin of the home, sons, Larry Dewitt and Darell Harrington of High Point, NC. Twelve sisters, Mary (Preston) Williams, Rachel Sturdivant, Margaret McManus, Gail Zimmerman, JoAnn Bueno all of High Point, NC, Ericka (Thomas) Abraham of Columbia, SC, Elsie Williams, Inez Redfin all of Wallace, SC, Ruby (James) Harrington of Fayetteville, NC, Martha Harrington, Evelyn Brown all of Millville, NJ, and Lois Little of Washington, DC; five brothers, James McKever, Thomas (Betty) Warren, Charles Warren, Rufus Kirby all of High Point, NC and Thomas Spencer of Rockingham, NC; fourteen grandchildren; Baylei McKever of High Point, NC; Micheal McKever II, Thomas Baskin, and Cameron Baker – all of Harrisburg, NC. Jasmine (Dennisha) Martin of Winston-Salem, NC; Danaya Harrington, Ka’rell Harrington, Jamar Harrington, Dalyssia Harrington, Taraji Smith, Caleb Spencer, Caiden Spencer, Tessa Harrington, and Jeffrey Harrington all of High Point, NC; in laws, Thomas (Sarah) Baskin, Leonard Baskin, Robert (Annie) Baskin all of High Point, NC and Willie (Judy) Baskin of Atlanta, GA, Mary Morrison, Gloria Baskin of High Point, NC and Wilma (Daniel) Harrington of Wallace, SC and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
