Russell Dawann Watson, 40, was called home on April 7, 2022, he was born in Baltimore, MD, on November 15, 1982, to Janet Williams and Russell Watson.
Dawann, AKA Ghost, was a great guy. He was a family man and very protective over the ones that he loved. He could get crazy at times, but he meant well. Everyone loved him despite all the craziness he had going on, if he loved you and cared for you, he would do anything for you. One thing he didn't like was pork: he always called it "swan." Dawann loved his kids; he wanted them to be better and do better than him. He loved his old school Gangster music and he loved to box. He started boxing in high school and competed in tournaments; he actually lived up to this title in adulthood.
Dawann was very knowledgably about Greek mythology. If you asked him about it, he could talk to you all day about it. His teachers used to actually let him teach the class because he knew so much about it, and he loved it. Man, did he love his Timberland boots, his camouflage pants and his black shirt- that was his signature look. If you really knew Dawann, you knew that he had a sense of humor. You only saw that side of him if he was comfortable with you. He loved his call of duty games or any games dealing with fighting or war. Last but not least, he was a fighter, a protector and most of all, he was a soldier.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Janet Marie Williams and Russell Henry Watson and his brother, James Leroy Williams.
Left to cherish his memories are his daughter, Kearra Watson of High Point, NC; his two sons, Jeremiah Watson of High Point, NC and Titus Watson of Greensboro, NC; three sisters, April Williams, Tamesha Watson and Angelica Watson all of Baltimore, MD; brother, Ronaldo Watson of Baltimore, MD; stepdad, Edward Jack Williams and a host of nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
