Rev. William W. Pettis was born to the late Tucker and Mable Hill Pettis.
He was born in Winston Salem, NC, then later moved to Harlem, NY were he graduated from Boys High School. Afterwards, he went to the Army to serve our country. He was employed with the US Postal Services for 30 years. He always had a love for music. Upon retiring and moving back to North Carolina, Rev. Pettis played for many local churches and he also served as a Minister. He attended the B'nai Isreal Congregation Synagogue in High Point.
He was preceded in death his mother and father; one son, Gilbert T. Arnold.
Left to cherish his memories. two daughters, Anna Boose,and Kimberly Gray both of High Point, NC; three sons, Robert White of Norfolk,VA, Chris (Tira) Gray, Juan (Cynthia) Gray all of Trinity; two nieces, Ruthie Smith of Bronx, NY and Linda Smith of Los Vegas NV; a host grandchildren,great grandchildren other friends and family
