Recilla "Cilla" McCollum, age 56 of High Point, NC departed this life on Saturday, November 22, 2014. She was born August 8, 1958 in Dillon, SC to the late Perry and Emma Paige Leach.
Recilla loved her family and was dedicated to helping people. She will always be remembered for her joyful embrace and loving sense of humor. After working as a personal care assistant, she strived for more and started attending Guilford Technical Community College to obtain her Associate Degree as a Substance Abuse Counselor.
She was a member of Love and Faith Christian Fellowship Church, where she enjoyed worshiping with her family.
Recilla was preceded in death by her sister, Mattie Ward and brother, Perry Leach Jr.
Recilla leaves behind to cherish her loving memories, her former spouse, Leroy McCollum; one son, Timothy Lamont Manning and fiancé, Shannon Holbrook and three grandsons, Deonte, Marcus, and Torre of High Point; seven sisters, Margaret Livingston, Emma (Sylvester) Rucker, Betty York, Marie Lytch all of High Point, Rosetta Lytch of Greensboro, Edith (Elijah) Purnell of Dillon, SC and Beatrice (Prentice) Bethea of Latta, SC; three brothers, Dennis (Edith Haden) Leach, Robert (Tonya) Leach both of Greensboro, and Thomas Leach of High Point; she also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and special friends who loved her dearly.
