Ralph Jerome Wright, 49 of Clio, SC departed this earthly life suddenly on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at Scotland Regional Hospice in Laurinburg, NC. He was born to the late Ralph “Pip” Wright and Mary “Boot” Ratley Wright in Bennettsville, SC on June 25, 1968.
Ralph attended Clio High School and played football. He was a professional wrestler, known as the “Black Assassin.” He was the owner operator of PLT Trucking Company. Ralph relocated to High Point, NC and joined Living Water Baptist Church, where was an active member and sang on the male chorus. After many years in High Point, Ralph moved back to Clio, SC He loved his family and would always support the family events. Ralph was an all-around person; it was rare to every see him upset, He always had a good spirit about himself. He was one of the family’s comedian’s, always entertaining everyone with jokes and stories. He welcomed everyone when he seen them at family events.
He leaves to cherish his memories: wife, Melissa Wright; his children, Ralfeel Wright, Rakeem Wright, and Melissa Rachelle Wright; step son, Larry Fletcher; siblings; Mickey (Monica) Ratley, Leon (Sylvia) Ratley, Mary (David) Dupree, Gloria (Fred) Timmons and Pearlie Bethea; aunts, Clara (Fred) Thompson, Evangelist Gladys Thomas, Mary Lou Ratley, Lillie Mae Evans; uncles, Marvin (Carrie) Wright, Dennis (Trevonda) Wright, John (Linda) Wright, and Elliott Ratley Jr.; special cousin who was like a brother, Patrick Ingram; best friend, Derrick Cook; a host of cousins, other relatives and special friends.
