Radie Mae Baines was born on February 2, 1936 in Dillon, South Carolina to the late Mack C. Baines and U. T. Williams Baines of Dillon, South Carolina. She departed this life and entered into eternal rest on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at her residence in High Point, North Carolina.
Radie Mae attended the public school system in Newark, New Jersey. She accepted Christ as her personal Saviour and united herself with a Baptist Church in Newark, New Jersey at an earlier age. She later relocated to High Point, NC and became a member of First Emmanuel Baptist Church, High Point, NC.
Radie Mae was preceded in death by her parents Mack C. Baines and U. T. Williams Baines, her siblings: Daniel (Zeno) Baines, John Henry (Buddy) Baines, James (Squeal) Baines, Grady McNeal, Emma Ruth Baines Bethea, Mack C. Baines Jr.; her son: Joseph Thomas Baines; and her granddaughter: Rasheda Lathad.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories her four sisters: Mary Juanita Baines of Camden, NJ, Maxine (JR) Thompson of Syracuse, NY, Glenda (Sam) Pennington and Margaret (Ed) Pennington, both of South Point, OH; five brothers: Milton Baines of Camden, NJ, Ben Baines of Lyons, GA, Billy (Joyce) Baines of Mullins, SC, Lloyd (Bebe Ann) Baines and Dexter (Ernestine) Baines, both of Syracuse, NY; one sister-in-law: Belinda Baines of Daytona Beach, FL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. One special nephew: Jeffrey Bethea of High Point, NC and a special friend, Truly Gray.
