Vanta Jones known as Radeyah Hamid. Also known as Ms. Vicky to some, a second Mother, and Educator. She was the daughter of Joseph Jones Sr., and the late Ruby L. Parker. After graduating from high school, Radeyah attended and graduated from Montgomery College with a 3.0 GPA. Following her training, she began her career as a security guard and the medical field. She was later married to the late Charles Richardson. She served in many congregations during her life.
She was predeceased by three children, Tyrone, Sheryl and Jacqueline and one brother, Kenneth Jones.
Left to honor her are her four children: Wayne (Claudette)Richardson, Kevin Richardson, Michael Richardson, Shonn Richardson; nineteen grandchildren, Michael, Brittany, Antonio, Aisha, Nia, India, Amber, Timothy, Aaron, Tiara, Precious, Rakeim, Dominique, Darrius, Mike Jr., Shane, Da'jo'nna, Jamar, and Lil Shonn; nine great-grandchildren, Shenia, Desire, Ayden, Karter, Jaxon, Lauryn, A’Vera, A’Mya, Zaiden; two brothers, Joseph (Norma)Jones, Maurice Jones, and a host of family and friends.
She was a great mother, grandmother, provider, and a woman of God. It was Radeyah’s talents- the love of plants gardening, and cooking. She also loved sewing and crocheting. She was also a fan of the Steelers and enjoyed watching old Western flics especially the Golden Girls, and was a great dancer.
She leaves us with wise words, great knowledge & great memories. And because of that, today we celebrate her! She will forever be in our hearts and minds.
