Patricia Ann Tate Baker, 76, on Sunday, May 24, 2020 at Moses H. Cone Hospital our faithful Lord called Patricia Ann Tate home where she is now in peace and heaven. She was born to Quiller Gidderon and Thomas Elmore Tate on May 16, 1944.
She graduated from William Penn High School, class of 1963. She was employed with Vann York Toyota for many years, afterwards she began working for the High Point Police Department, for many years she was well known for marking tires and giving out tickets. She later retired from Guilford County Schools.
Patricia was married to James A. Baker for over 20 years. She was a devoted wife and mother.
She was known as a very loving and strong-willed person. She was a great cook and enjoyed inviting family and friends over to eat. She enjoyed singing while attending church. After her health began to decline, she would later enjoy doing crossword puzzles, watching old movies and having a great conversations with family and friends. She was truly a phenomenal woman and loved by many.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; Alphonso Tate and Kenny Strain; one sister; Diane Tate.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories; Three children; Japhith Orlando Tate, James Edward Baker and Bonese Michelle Baker; Siblings; Gloria Tate Powell, Joann Burke, Ann Arbor, Kathy Leaper, Thomas Tate and Lawrence Tate, Eleven grandchildren; Seven great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
