Pastor Robert Alexander Booth, Sr., was born to Pastor Rodney and First Lady Deneka Booth on January 5, 1996, in Lusby, Maryland. Robert was raised in the Gospel at Lothian Church of God, under the leadership of Bishop George Hawkins, Sr., where he begun to study music and serve in the Ministry with his father.
His childhood nickname was "Shouting Bert." At the young age of 16, Robert began serving int he capacity of Youth Pastor of God's Place of Worship and Deliverance, under the leadership of the Pastor Charles Morgan, Sr.
Robert later served in the same capacity at Spirit of Life family Worship Center, where he was relicensed to preach the Gospel, under the leadership of Pastor Waden, Sr. In October of 2017, Robert began serving as the Minister of the Music of Greater New Hope Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Lovelle McMichael, Sr., until August of 2019, where he began to serve Calvary Baptist Church in the same capacity, under the leadership of Pastor Amos Quick III until December of 2020.
Pastor Booth was a proud graduate of T.W. Andrews High School in High Point, NC. He was a proud father of Robert A. Booth, Jr. Last but most certainly not least, he was the proud Founder and Pastor of Hood Holiness Church of God. He also served as the Director of Outreach in the Grace Ecumenical Commune of Churches, under the leadership of Bishop Kerry A.T. Thomas.
Pastor Robert was a man after the heart of God and had a tender heart for the Church universal.
Robert is survived by his father, Pastor Rodney Booth, his mother lady Deneka Booth, eight brothers and sisters, Peyton, Bethanie, Solomon, Eric, Jonah, Judith, Judah and David Booth, his son, Robert Booth Jr., and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and very close friends. Robert had an incredibly special way of making people he met feel like family. People were drawn to the spirit of Christ within him. May his legacy continue, and his vision of Hood Holiness Church of God touch hearts and save souls as the word says, "While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light."
