Ometa Powell Lindsey

Ms. Ometa Marie Powell Lindsey age 97 of Trinity, NC departed this earthly life on Sunday August 4, 2024. She was born in Randolph County to the late Annie Matthews Powell and Josiah Powell Ometa worked at Clarendon Furniture until her retirement. Ometa was a faithful member of St. Mary's United Methodist Church for over 70 years. Ometa enjoyed working in the yard and watching her favorite TV show “In the Heat of the Night.”  She never met a stranger and loved visits with family and friends.  In addition to her parents, Ometa was also preceded in death by her husband, Roland June Lindsey and five sisters, Lydia Powell, Meleta Rush, Floy Holmes, Golden Brown, and Sylvia Coates. She leaves to cherish her loving memories one son, David R. Lindsey (Teresa); and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends.
