Nathan "Weasel" Barnes, 56, of High Point, NC, departed this earthly life on Thursday, June 28, 2012, at Hospice Home at High Point.
Nathan was born in Maxton, NC, on April 22, 1956, the son of the late Nathaniel and Leanna McDaniel Barnes. Naythan, known as "Weasel," was an auto mechanic for many years.
He enjoyed riding his bicycle daily. Nathan was united in marriage to Pearle Clark Barnes.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one son, Nathan Barnes, Jr. and a sister, Gloria Miller.
Nathan was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. Those left to cherish his memories includes his devoted wife of 25 years, Pearlie Barnes of the home, one son, Devon Marsh of Thomasville, NC, three stepchildren, Charles Smarr, Diane Smarr and Eveyln Smarr all of High Point, NC, two brothers, Emmanuel Barnes of High Point, NC and Robert (Deborah) Wilkerson of Fayetteville, NC, one uncle, Belton McDaniel of Charlotte, NC, special nephew, Tyree Flemings, three grandchildren, four step grandchildren, twelve great- step grandchildren, two special friends, Carlene and Bobby Freeman, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
