Ms. Annette "Ghirley" Quick

Annette “Ghirley Quick, 57 departed this life following a brief illness on February 28, 2023.  She was born May 27, 1965 to the late Prentiss Quick, Sr and Diane White.

Preceding her in death was her daughter, Schlonda Rice and her brother Prentiss “PeeWee” Quick, Jr. Her maternal and paternal grandparents are also deceased.

She was a lifetime resident of High Point, NC and was educated in the High Point public school system.  She graduated from High Point Central High School. Annette had a love for learning. Throughout her life she attended numerous colleges and pursued degrees in cosmetology, bookkeeping and accounting.

Those left to cherish her memories include two daughters.

Placidius Harris and Braijonna Brown, both of High Point and a brother Ronnie “Goo” Quick.

She loved dearly her three grandchildren: La’Marion Johnson, Eric Johnson, Skylanni Smith and a special godchild T’yanna Kinney.

There are three aunts Carolyn Sellars of Sommerset, NJ.; Gladys Avery, Bronna Middlebrooks and an uncle Ceasar Chatman Jr. all of High Point, NC, a special friend Michelle Kinney and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Special nephew and niece, Seneca (Pansy) Blackmon and Tara Quick.  She will live in our hearts forever.
