Pearl Chandler-English was born June 16,1931 In Blythewood, SC to the parents of Charles Waden Sr. and Carrie Mae Waden, later move to High Point, NC when she was a child.
She departed this life Monday, June 17,2019. She graduated from William Penn High School. She was married to James Rainey Sr. She had three sons, David Rainey, James Rainey Jr., and James Tomlim. She was employed by Hotel chains in house-keeping.
Pearl was preceded her death her parents; her husband, James English, one son David Rainey; brother, Arthur Waden and one sister; her best friend Willie B Waden (sister-in-law).
Pearl was a faithful and devout born-again believer who stood strong in her faith even when doing so was unpopular amongst many of her family and friends. She loved the Lord and she didn't care who knew it. She was a member of church of God of Prophecy. She attended Sunday school bringing James with her to instill the ways of the Lord. She also attended Spirit of Life Family Worship Center, who is her nephew Elder Dwayne Waden Sr. is the pastor, and his lovely spouse Tammy Waden, who she loved to hear her sing. She loved to style with her outfits with hats.
Pearl is survived by her loving sons, James (Ann) Rainey Jr., James Tomlin; one brother, Charles Waden Jr. all High Point, NC; step children, Curtis William, Ralph English, Phyllis Smith, Julia Harris; a host of grand-children, with special thanks to her grand-daughter Toni who took care of her while she was sick; cousins, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
