Mrs. Johnsie Cash

MRS. JOHNSIE KERSEY CASH, 76, gained her heavenly wings on Wednesday, February 22, 2023. She was born December 5, 1946, to the late John C. Kersey and Eva Bittle Kersey. MRS. JOHNSIE was formerly employed with Silver Net Hosiery Mills for 25 years, and later retired from Griffin Middle School. She was married to the late Kuba Lee Cash for 50 years. Mrs. Johnsie was member of Living Water Baptist Church where she served on the Deaconess Board. She also sang with the gospel group, The Gospel Samaritans. Her laughter and generosity will be missed by all those who knew her. In addition to her parents and husband of 50 years, Mrs. Johnsie was also preceded in death by her son, Stephen Leon Cash; one grandson, Stephen Leon Legrande; one sister, Hattie Roserau; and two brothers, Lee (Mary) Grant Kersey and James Author Kersey. She leaves to cherish her loving memories to her daughter, Stephanie (Wilbert) Hayes; three sisters, Marjorie Henry Cole and Margaret Martin, both of Morven, NC, and Daisy M. Glover of Maryland; and grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
