Mr. Elijah Fate Horne

Mr. Elijah Markese Fate Horne, 31, was born June 3, 1991, to Patricia Fate and Percell Horne, in Newark, New Jersey.

He was called to rest on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at Moses Cone Hospital.

Elijah attended Andrews High School and continued his education at Kittrell Job Corps, where he obtained his high school diploma and Masonry Certification. Elijah worked as a security guard and forklift driver for several years. Though he enjoyed singing and dancing he was a man of many talents, his bold presence and his contagious humor filled every room.

Elijah was a loving person, who loved his family and friends. He will be deeply missed. Elijah was truly one of a kind and he has left his mark on us all.

Elijah was preceded in death by his grandmother, Rosa Hodge and Veronice Horne, his grandfather, Albert Horne and his uncle, James Fate Sr.

Leaving to cherish his memory are his parents, Patricia Fate of High Point, NC and Percell Horne (Joyce) of Las Vegas, NV, three children, Emoni Fate, Kyler and Zy'heir Fate; four sisters, Ishaya Campbell (Mike), Ebony Fate, Ish'lah Fate, Iyonnah Fate, three brothers, Dashan Fate, Ty'Quan Fate and Nasir Fate, four nieces, two nephews and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and his best friend, Deontaye Mock
