Bernice Threadgill Pemberton, age 92, of High Point, NC, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Sunday, January 30th, 2022, at Hospice Home of High Point, NC.
Bernice was born February 23, 1929, to the late Claude Threadgill Sr. and Sallie McLemire Threadgill in Ansonville, NC.
Bernice attended Anson County schools prior to moving to High Point, NC, where she earned an Early Childhood Development Certification from GTCC. She worked for years in that field and in the hosiery industry and finishing up as a domestic worker before retiring.
Bernice was devoted to her family, church and friends, she made everyone that she came in contact with feel special. She had a way about her that encouraged you, lifted you up, caused you to feel better about yourself sometimes without even saying a word - her smile was infectious and her hugs would melt your heart away.
Bernice served as the First Church Mother of Chosen Generation Outreach Deliverance Center where she shared her gifts of wisdom and love to everyone.
Bernice was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lacy Pemberton Sr.; four sons, Ronald Sr., Richard, Glenn & Lacy Jr. and one daughter, Linda; four brothers and two sisters.
She leaves to cherish her memories: two daughters, Vanessa Pemberton Medley and Claudia (Grady) Johnson all of High Point, NC; one son, William (Robin) Mathis of Charleston, SC; 13 grandchildren, Latonja, Tamara (Steven), Tacoya, Micarlos (Shelley), Semone, Ronald Jr. (Kathy), Tonya, Chris (Von), Rodney, Rashad, Roderick, Misha(Fernando) and Dontre, 24 Great Grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, church family and friends.
