Minister Tommy Jane "T.J." Covington

God in his infinite wisdom and divine love on Sunday, November 17, 2019, Minster Tommy Jane Covington departed this life and entered God’s eternal home.

Minster Tommy Jane Covington affectionately was known by her family and friends as “T.J.” or Ms. Tommy.  She was born in Marlboro County, SC on March 8, 1955 to the late Isaac Sr. and Winnie Louise Covington.

She relocated to High Point, NC and entered the workforce working for Hatteras Yacht.  Minister Tommy Jane found her passion and began her career Certified Nursing Assistance. She was a devoted employee of Encompass Home Health Care. She touched the lives of many with her charismatic personality and joyful spirit which easily aided anyone in their time of need. Minister Tommy Jane was a prayer warrior and a phenomenal intercessor.

In her spiritual journey she accepted her direction and became a devoted member of True Standard Holiness Church.  Later years she became a member and a minister of A Step Above Ministry in Archdale, NC.

We accept with humility of God’s plan and shall always cherish the loving memories and appreciate the gift of her life includes: three children; C. Lamont Covington, Ashanti Covington and Ava Covington; two brothers, John “J.C.” Covington, Ralph McFall; three sisters, Ollie-Ruth Britton, Sally and Mary Covington; six grandchildren, Arriana, Kala, Xe’Naida, Jose, Simia, Amina; her best friends, Pastor Juanita Guy and Minister Juanita Guy; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends.
