Melvin Douglas Jackson, Jr. affectionately known as Tony by family and friends, was born on April 30, 1954 in Manhattan, New York City. He unexpectedly passed away on November 10, 2018 at his home in High Point, NC.
Tony enjoyed spending time with family and friends and in his younger years he enjoyed skating at the Rainbow Skating Rink located in Chicago, IL. He enjoyed watching the NFL and cheering on his favorite football team the Pittsburg Steelers.
Tony honorably served in the military as a Unites States Marine; a Prisoner of War Veteran, he proudly served and sacrificed for his country. After serving in the military and returning to the United States Tony resided in Chicago, NC, AZ, and then back to High Point. He was a member of Williams Memorial Church.
Tony is remembered for his charisma, charm and his gift of Gab. Anyone that met Tony could not forget about his captivating blues eyes that he often used to charm the ladies.
Tony was preceded in death by his mother, Gwendolyn Stone West, Bertha Stone, Rameer Hodges.
Tony leaves to cherish his memories to his children; Corrine Williams, Lasheena Jackson and George Easter; grandchildren, Dizhon Clark, Donovan Williams, Cimmeria Williams, Marissa Donnell, Chaz Jackson, Dontae Jackson, Toya Jackson, Tony Jackson, Timothy Jackson and Tennisha Jackson; his loving sisters of Chicago, IL, Janet C. Stone, Glenn (Stephen) Stone-Ford , Rita (Jessie) West-Hodges, Yvette (Reggie) Stone, Renee Brown and Denise Austin; brothers and best friend, Walter (Tammy) West, Joseph McDonald and Willie Shaw; uncle Jessie (Margaret) Stone; aunt, Naomi Ross; a host of cousins, nieces and nephews
