Mary Walker

Mary Thomasina Walker, 77, daughter of the late Charles Edward Walker and Essie Lucas was born on November 30, 1943 in Norfolk, Virginia and resided in High Point, NC.

She departed this life on the morning of July 30, 2021, at her home.

Mary enjoyed a career as a home health aide care provider along with being a dedicated member of the Clifton Grove Baptist Church where she served as an avid member of the choir. She also enjoyed many hobbies including attending garage sales, gardening, cooking, fixing elaborate puzzles and attending the Rec center with friends. Most of all, she adored her lovely dog “T.W.”

Mary was preceded in death by her last son, Terrence P. Walker

She leaves to cherish her memories, her children, Janice F. Blue-Knight, Robert Turner, Tammy L. Walker-Phillips and Linwood A. Walker.

She was the loving grandmother of J’Samian Walker, Alondre T. Walker, Quinton L. Bell, Samiyah Lawson and Donnell H. Walker.

Great grandmother of Rome M. Walker and Gabrielle Inungu.

Dear sister of Charles Edward Walker Jr. and the late Brenda K. Walker and Hugh V. Walker

Mothe-in-law of Barbara Turner, Mark S. Knight, Darwin Phillips and sister in law of Adamae Walker and Erma Walker.

Cherished friend of Irene Gathewright, Martha Whitehead, Peggy Brown and a host of other extended family and friends.
