On Sunday, June 20, 2021, God dispatched his angel and welcomed Mae Frances Blassingame to her heavenly home. She was welcomed into this world on February 28, 1951, by the late Robert Brown and Margaret Warren Huntley Frances in Chesterfield County, SC. She was affectionately called Frances by all who knew her. Mae Frances was a member of Living Water Baptist Church for 30 years. She was a faithful and kind person with a genuine heart. She served as a church mother, a missionary, and an usher. She was also loved by her church family for being a friend. In addition to her parents, Mae Frances was also preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Blassingame; one daughter, Barbara Ann Brown; her mother, Margaret Huntley; one brother, Robert Brown, Jr.; two nephews, Fred “Amp” McLaurin and Nate “Jr.” Barnes, Jr.; and Fred Washington, who was like a second dad to us. She leaves to cherish her love and precious memories: her five children, Johnnie B. Blassingame, Jr., of Wilmington, NC, Clifford Blassingame of Greensboro, NC, Dorothy (Hence) Blassingame, Daniel (Joanna) Blassingame, and Stevenson Blassingame, all of High Point, NC; six brothers and sisters, Minister Willie (Virgina) Brown of Sophia, NC, Emma (Sam) Green, Rev. Rose (John) Reid, and James (Ardis) Brown, all of High Point, NC, Tommy Brown of Greensboro, NC, and Charles Huntley of High Point, NC; twelve grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a multitude of other family and friends.
