Lucy Faye Monk

Lucy Faye Monk, age 84 of High Point, NC departed this earthly life on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Atrium Health System-High Point. She was born in High Point, NC on July 30, 1940, to the late Earl Saunders and Lucy Faye Price Saunders.

She attended William Penn High School. Lucy Faye worked for Royal Development for 30 years and later retired from the company. She was former member of Gethsemane Baptist Church for many years. Lucy Faye was currently attending Gospel Way Baptist Church in High Point. 

Lucy Faye always said what was on her mind. She had a wonderful relationship with all her nieces and nephews. Her personality would go from making you upset then making you laugh within moments or vice versa. 

In addition to her parents, Lucy Faye was also preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Eugne Monk; four sons, Barry, Terry, Wendell and Stevie Williamson; seven siblings; one grandson, Gerald Williamson and great grandson, Day-Shawn Williamson.

Leaving to cherish her memories are Herbert Williamson, Barbara Williamson and Donna Williamson; one sister, Evonne Harrell; 13 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren; special nephews, Ervin Saunders and Harry Robinson; good friend, Rebecca; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
