On Sunday, December 31, 2006, the Lord called a wonderful mother home from labor to reward, and Ms. Lottie Mae Bethea answered His call.
Lottie Mae Bethea was born on September 16, 1936, to the late James Reuben and Margaret Wright Bethea in Dillon, SC. During her earlier years, Ms. Bethea resided in the state of New York for 45 years where she attended the New Mount Baptist church and served as the president of the usher's Board. After relocating to High Point, she became a member of Living Water Baptist Church where she was a loyal member for more than 7 years. Lottie as she so affectionately known, was truly a loving person, never met any strangers and was a friend to many. She will be missed dearly.
her parents, one daughter, Margaret B. LeGrand, a granddaughter and two brothers all precedes her in death.
Left to cherish her fond and loving memories include three daughters, Delores (Melvin) Bethea, Shirl Bethea both of High Point, NC and Sandra (Acie) LeGrand of Aiken, SC; three brothers, James (Senter) Bethea, John (Ida) Bethea both of High Point, NC and Edward (Barbara) Bethea of Dillon, SC; four sisters, Mary (Willie) Boatwright of Dillon, SC, Shirley (Artis) Nicholson, Stephanie Johnson and Eddie Mae Robinson all of High Point, NC, grandchildren, great grandchildren, a special cousin, William Wright, a special friend, Gladys Wright Thomas, a host of other relatives and many friends.
