Linda “Faye” Sinkler, 65 years old of Thomasville, NC transitioned to her heavenly home on Tuesday, October 18th, 2022, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.
Faye, daughter of the late James McLeod and Mamie R. Charles was born on May 31, 1957, in Sanford, NC. All though born in North Carolina she moved to Brooklyn, New York as a young child. Where she attended Brooklyn city schools and graduated from Erasmus Hall High School in 1975. She later visited her grandmother in North Carolina in which a two-week visit turned into a lifetime stay. She met Paul early in 1978 and they were married in August of 1978. From their union they had two sons Michael and Brandon.
Faye dedicated her life to the Christ in 1987 and served the Lord with all her heart. She was a member of Total Restoration Church for over 19 years. As a member of the church, she served as a Praise and Worship Leader, greeter, and worked in hospitality. She also received the first annual Hall of Faith award from Total Restoration Church for her demonstration and lifestyle of great faith.
Faye was married to Paul for over 44 years. Their marriage was unique in their communication style and love for each other. One great bond they had was their love for their sons and especially their grandkids, in which you would often find them taking care of.
Faye was known for her beautiful smile and love she had for her family; she shared special bonds with many family members. One of those bonds was with her mother. They spent countless hours together and was known as the “Golden Girls”. She also had great love and respect for her father in the stories she would share about him. To the family, Faye was a vault, you could share your secrets and know they would never be repeated. One of the things she was most proud of was being a mother and MaMa, Faye loved her boys and grandchildren.
Faye was preceded in death by her father, James McLeod.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Sinkler Jr. of Thomasville; NC; mother, Mamie R. Charles of Thomasville, NC; sons Michael (Tara) Sinkler amd Brandon Sinkler all of Thomasville NC; grandchildren, Braylon and Paityn Sinkler; brothers, Bishop Rick (Angela) McLeod of Lexington, NC, Ronny (Latrenda) McLeod of Sanford, NC; sister, Pamela Smith-Ateeb of Thomasville; special sisters-in-law, Mary (James) Thomas and Dorothy Mickens both of Thomasville, NC and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and other family members.
