O'Lillian Williams

O’Lillian Gist Jefferies Williams, 85 of High Point, NC, was born December 4, 1938, to the late Nathaniel Stewart and Katherine Stephens in Union County, SC.

She peacefully transitioned from her earthly life to be with her Heavenly father on Saturday, July 27,2024 at home surrounded by her family.

Known to most as “Lib” or “Olivia” she worked as a CNA and Rehab Assistant for over 30 years, where she later retired and started dedicating more of a time to her Church family. 

O’Lillian was a faithful member of Living Water Baptist Church where she served on the Mother’s Board, Nursing Board and the Kitchen Committee until her health declined. Even in poor health she was still faithful to her church and love to God.

O’Lillian was a very humble, kind and loving individual who always prayed for the ones near and dear to her. She loved reading and taking care of her flowers. Ms. Lib had the biggest heart and would do absolutely anything for anyone in need, no questions asked. She was the matriarch of our family, the one who kept us all together.

In addition to her parents, O’Lillian was preceded in death by her three brothers, Reubin Stephens Jr., Richard Stephens Sr., and Michael Stephens; two sisters, Mae Stevens and Hattie Jones.

She leaves to cherish her loving and beautiful memories to: her seven children, Mary Howell, Barbara Ann McKiver, Arzolia Jeffries, Anthony Jeffries, Jacqueline Williams, Ronald (Melissa) Williams and Cynthia Williams all of High Point, NC; her sister Irene Jefferies; two brothers, James and Stanley Stephenson of Spartanburg SC; 26 grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who she loved dearly.
