Lawrence Johnson Jr, 76, of High Point, NC, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2011, at his residence.

Lawrence was born in Marlboro, SC, on April 29, 1935, a son of Curtis and Martha Johnson. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Geneva Johnson; his father; one daughter, Brenda Diane Dunlap; two sons, Timothy Dewayne Boulware and James Lee Boulware; one sister, Sara Johnson; one brother, Robert Lee Johnson. He later married Nannie Boulware Johnson who also preceded him in death.

Lawrence retired from J.B. White Construction Company. He was a member of Bibleway Holiness Church. He also played the guitar for the Gospel Echoes singing group.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Martha Johnson of High Point, NC; sons; Lawrence (Twon) Boulware, Robert (Felicia) Boulware, Roger Boulware, Terry Boulware and Willie Boulware all of High Point, NC; Wilbur (Wyenita) Boulware of Greensboro, NC and Travis Boulware of Rolla, MO; daughter; Desiree Jumper Toni of High Point, NC, Toni (Charles) Flint of Greensboro, NC; brothers, Curtis Johnson ,Jessie Johnson and James Earl (Sara) Johnson all of High Point, NC; Joe Johnson of SC; sisters, Grace Martin, Ella (Willie) Carter, Helen Johnson and Loraine Whitfield all of High Point, NC; Doris Gates of SC and Frances Thomas of NY; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; caregiver, Valerie Kearse and a host of friends.
