Lavern Lynette Leach, transitioned from this earthly life to her eternal home at the age of 36, On Wednesday May 22, 2024, at Atrium Health |Wake Forest Baptist Health. She was surrounded by her loved ones loving on her when God set her free and sent his Angels to transcend her into heaven with the Angels to meet our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. God sent his angels from Heaven to ease her pain and suffering.

Lavern “Peanut/TT” as she was affectionally known to family and friends, was born January 7, 1988, in High Point, NC to Brenda L. Grace and Levern Leach.  “Peanut/TT” was a resident of High Point, NC all of her life and attended the Guilford County School System. She graduated from T. Wingate Andrews High School in 2006. “Peanut/TT” was a self-trained hairstylist and decided to embark on becoming an entrepreneur as a cosmetologist soon after high school. She successfully achieved her certification as a cosmetologist in 2008 but soon learned that this path was not her passion. “Peanut/TT” recognized at an early age that she loved children and after giving up cosmetology she changed the trajectory of her career in pursuit of becoming a teacher. She went on to complete her Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education at Davidson County Community College in 2020 and later began taking additional college courses towards her Bachelor’s Degree.  “Peanut/TT” was a hard worker and determined to get the best out of life even when she experienced some challenges.  She began her employment career working in food services at High Point Country Club and High Point University for several years. She briefly worked in the mental health field at Making Changes, Inc. before moving back into the customer service field as a call center representative at APAC.  “Peanut/TT” later found her niche working with her first love “children” when she became employed by the Guilford County Child Development Center. She worked there for several years until recently, when her health began to decline. Even then she managed to help care for her two nephews and God daughter whom she thought of, and treated like they were HER own children.

“Peanut/TT “was a beautiful young lady with a bright smile and a heart of gold. She was reared alongside her cousins in a tightly knit family and often referred to her cousins as siblings. She did not have children of her own, but you wouldn’t have known that as much as she jumped into the role of second mom for many of her cousins, nephews, nieces and friends. Peanut/TT fell in love with the young children in her family and would often voluntarily keep them for extended periods of time. Her love for children was evident many years ago when she began caring for her cousins Jyree Ford and Amori Ford, both of whom she has always held dear to her heart. She would take her money and buy educational activities and teach them basic educational skills as toddlers. She later continued that love and passion for children with her two precious nephews, Terrell Leach JR and Tyson Leach and her beautiful God daughter Nylah Scott. “Peanut/TT “thought those children were hers and treated them as such. She was an avid traveler and enjoyed seeing different parts of the world with her cousin Kelsey and other close friends.  She was always down for a good time with friends and family. God blessed her with an environment filled with an abundance of love from her family and friends.  She has left an irreplaceable positive mark on their lives filled with love and beautiful memories that they will always have to cherish. “Peanut TT “LOVED her family and often captured beautiful photographic memories and encounters of precious moments that they can forever share and keep close to their hearts. She was outgoing, smart, dependable, caring, loyal and a Believer in the Lord.  She was a loving daughter, big sister, self-made mother, an aunt, down for whatever cousin and loyal friend and she will forever be missed.

“Peanut” was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Mary Frances Sellers Grace, paternal grandparents Vernon and Charlotte Leach, maternal grandfather, Sam B. Eaddy; paternal uncle, James “Mookie” Grace; maternal aunts, Rhonda Denise “Gail” Grace and Angela Denise “Angie” Grace; paternal uncles, Vernon Leach, Willie Leach and special maternal great uncle, Johnny Sellers.

While the physical presence of our precious daughter, sister, niece, and friend will no longer be with us we give thanks to God for all the beautiful memories we have to cherish. We also thank God for life after death.
