Early Sunday, September 2, 2007, Ms. Latoya Marquita Simmons went home to be with the Lord. As a native and lifelong resident of High Point, NC, she attended Guilford County Schools. She was a loving mother, daughter and friend who always reached out to others in a time of need. we shall forever cherish her memory.
The remembrance of shared moments bring comfort to surviving relatives. Surviving are two sons, Hykeem Simmons and Xavier Tate and one daughter, Aiyonna Simmons, all of the home. Also surviving are her mother, Sondra Evette Simmons; father, James (Renita) Ezekiel; Godmother, Sharon McCormick; Godfathers, Raymond (Kim) Larkin and Wilber Brown, who offered fatherly guidance; six sisters, Nyla Bailey, Shannon and Amanda Ezekiel all of High Point, NC., Tiffany Williams of Winston-Salem, NC, Crystal Ezekiel of Greensboro, NC and Travion Ezekiel of Cleveland, OH, five brothers, Michael Prince of Iraq, Demetrius and Denzel Taylor of Dillon, SC, Desmone Tillman and Gregory Campbell both of High Point, NC, maternal grandparents, Leroy (Naomi) Simmons of High Point, NC; paternal grandmother, Easter Ezekiel of High Point, NC; aunts and uncles, Leroy (Denise) Simmons, Benjamin (Tiffany) Simmons, Annie and Susan Simmons, Dorothy, Linda, Johnny (Lisa), Jerry, Bobby, Wayne, Chris (Angelica) and Toby Ezekiel, all of High Point, NC. There are other aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends.
