Lashonda Brown

LaShonda Renee Brown was born on June 26, 1991 in High Point, NC, the daughter of Barbara Brown Logan and Johnny Pearson.  She departed this life peacefully on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at Wesley Long Hospital after experiencing declining health due to a chronic illness.  She was proceeded in death by her maternal grandparents, Richard and Minnie Brown.   LaShonda attended Guilford County public schools and was a graduate of Southwest High School, class of 2009.  She also attended Guilford Technical Community College. LaShonda was a very hard worker and was employed at the Meridian Center and Wendy’s Restaurant.  She was very outgoing, energetic and never met a stranger.  She enjoyed dancing, singing, and spending time with her family.  She adored her two children and always expressed her love for them.  She was a warrior who maintained a positive and pleasant attitude in the midst of her physical challenges.

Left to cherish her memories are her mother, Barbara Brown Logan of High Point, NC; her father, Johnny Pearson of Bennettsville, SC; a daughter, Zion Cain and a son, Jeremy Stewart; one sister, Monique Brown of High Point, NC; a half brother, Javonte Pearson of High Point, NC; a special cousin, JaQualla Brown of High Point, NC, who was like a sister and was born six days apart from LaShonda; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends
