Lal Darjee

Lal Bahadur Darjee was 78 years, 1 month and 11 days at the time of his death. He was born in a small, remote village of Bhutan on the 1st of January 1934. he married Ganga M. Darjee in 1966. 5 children were born to this union, two sons and three daughters. he has 2 grandsons and 4 granddaughters.

Mr. Darjee and his family moved to Nepal from his country Bhutan in 1990. He and his family spent almost 18 years in the refugee camp in Nepal. He with his family then moved to the United Stated of America in July 2008. After spending almost 3 years in New York City, he and his family moved again to High Point, North Carolina where he took his last breath.

Mr. Darjee was a very religious man while he still a Hindu. He accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour in 1992 when his first grandson suffered from a critical illness. God used this critical circumstance to bring the whole family to Himself and the whole family accepted the Lord Jesus Christ. Since then, he continued in the faith.

His children, son-in-law and daughters-in-law and grandchildren greatly acknowledge his love and recognize his great suffering and hardship of love he typically endured in his life in order to bring them up. Grandchildren feel the greatest loss of their grandfather, but they are forever grateful to him for his great work, great work for them. He was a wonderful husband, loving father, loving and caring grandfather and a wonderful friend to his friends.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Ganga M. Darjee, Five children, Bishnu Darjee, Sabitra Darjee, Ganga Ram Darjee, Kharka Darjee and Goma Darjee, Son-in-law, Chhabi Darjee and daughters-in-law, Lachhi and Khina Darjee, 6 grandchildren, Shiba Darjee, San Darjee, Gita Darjee, Rupesh Darjee, Namrata Darjee and Ashika Darjee
