Kuba Cash

Mr. Kuba Lee Cash, age 69, quietly exchanged time for eternity on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family.  Kuba Lee Cash, son of the late K.T. Cash and Hazel Moore Mc Neil was born on September 21, 1946. He was reared by his paternal grandparents, the late Roy "Sue" & Eva Gainey Cash in Morven, NC. He graduated from McRae High School, class of 1965. Kuba Lee began his Christian journey at an early age and was a member of Galiee AME Zion Church.

Kuba Lee relocated to High Point and was employed with Borden Dairy Company and Guilford County School System until retirement.  He was married to Johnsie Kersey Cash; to this union two children were born. Kuba Lee was a member of Living Water Baptist Church and served as a Deacon until his health failed.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son,  Stephen Leon Cash, and one brother, Walter Willoughby Sr.

Those left to cherish his legacy, includes his loving & devoted wife of 50 years, Mrs. Johnsie Cash of the home, daughter, Stephanie  (Wilbert) Hayes of Atlanta, GA; a grand-daughter who was raised in the home, Shemika Legrande, three additional grandchildren, six great grandchildren; sisters, Hattie Mae McNeil, Earleen (Johnny) Smith all of Laurinburg, NC, Effie (Chris)Washington, Annette (James) Rogers all of High Point, NC, Rose (Roy) Ingram of Charlotte NC, Janette McNeil of Salisbury, NC, Marlin (Anthony) Radcliffe of Raleigh, NC;  brothers, his very devoted brother, Harvey (Valerie) McNeil of High Point, NC,  Willie (Sandra) Moore of Rockingham, NC, Michael Chavis of Charlotte, NC, Frankie McNeil High Point, NC; sisters-in-law, Margaret Martin, Marjorie Cole both of Morven, NC and Mozella (Aarmon) Glover; brother-in-law, Lee “Sam”(Mary) Kersey of Charlotte, NC;  a special niece, Tabitha Kersey; a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends, and his Living Water church family.
