Kenneth Joyce

Kenneth William Joyce, 83 was born May 18th, 1938, in Mayodan, NC.  He passed away on Tuesday March 15th, 2022, at Kernersville Medical Center from health issues.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years Carol Dean Joyce; two sons, Michael Joyce and wife Tiffany Joyce of Walkertown, NC, Steve Joyce and wife Rhonda Joyce of Pleasant Garden, NC; two daughters, Vickie Hart partner Billy of Greensboro, NC and Angela Williams and husband Mitchell Williams of Southport, NC; along with eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Hill and James Matthew Joyce and a grandson, David.

He retired from Gilbarco in Greensboro, NC after being employed there for many years. Kenneth also owned and managed Scenic Oaks mobile home park in Asheboro, NC until 2005.

In his younger days he would spend time at the YMCA, swimming, running track, and playing racquet ball. He enjoyed traveling and anything history. On the weekends he loved spending time at the VFW and dance halls where you would find him square dancing and having a good time. Kenneth spent recent days watching old shows and spending time with family.

He was loved by everyone who knew him and will be greatly missed. He was a man of very few words in his older days but was a man of many words and swag in his younger years.
