Kenneth Eugene Autry left this earth on April 23, 2012. Born in High Point, North Carolina on October 21, 1953, Kenneth was the first of nine children. his father, the late James Autry Jr and his mother, Ernestine Autry raised a tall. handsome and well-spoken young man. Ken grew up in Baltimore, Pennsylvania, graduated from Kernerdale High School and entered the marines at 18 years old. Known by his friends as "Turk," Ken was honorably discharged from military service after becoming a Sergeant. He then moved to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, where his only son was born, Kenneth Eugen Autry Jr. After marrying Phyllis Autry, Kenneth earned two bachelor's degrees, one being in forestry. His son blessed him with four beautiful grandchildren, Alasha Autry (20), Laquan Autry (18), Robert Calwell (17) and Omarion Autry (3). Kenneth's fifth grandchild will be born in just a few months.
Kenneth is preceded in death by his wife: Phyllis Autry, maternal grandfather, Jerry Mock, maternal grandmother, Catherine Mock, paternal grandfather, James Autry Sr, his father, James Autry Jr, his younger brothers, James and Stanley Autry and a sweet sister Jacqueline Marie Autry.
Left to cherish Kenneth are his son, Kenneth Autry Jr of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, five grandchildren, a God-fearing mother, Ernestine Autry of High Point, NC, two brothers, Michael Autry (Carmen Autry) of York, Pennsylvania, three lovely sisters, Patricia Denise Bradley (Hezekiah Bradley) of Columbus, Ohio, Pamela Autry of High Point, NC and Tracy Autry Robinson (Kenneth Lyburn Robinson) of High Point, NC, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Kenneth also leaves the lady of his life, Dorothy, to cherish his memory
