Kelvin Mcdowell

Kelvin Andre McDowell, son of Mr. Dwight McDowell, Jr., and the late Mrs. Lottie M. McDowell was born on February 22, 1971, in Atlanta, Georgia. He departed his life and entered eternal rest on Friday, September 9, 2022. Kelvin had experiences in many different fields such as cosmetology, cooking, HVAC, auto mechanics, and nursing. Kelvin’s final place of employment was at Hardee’s where he enjoyed being the morning cook. On December 18, 2012, he married Clarice Latasha Rorie. They were married three months short of ten years until his death. On June 26, 2022, Kelvin became a member of Greater New Hope Baptist Church family. Kelvin was faithful in attending Sunday service and noonday Bible study on Wednesdays. Kelvin’s pride and joy was his children and ten grandchildren. He also cherished the moments spent with his family laughing, eating, drinking, and having a good time. Kelvin was preceded in death by one son, Daishawn Teasly, one sister, Francencia McDowell, and a brother, Jacadie Lynch. Kelvin was survived by his loving wife, Clarice Rorie McDowell; children, Rashad (Symmione) McDowell, JaQuala McClinton, Kayrasha Dawkins, Kelvin Andre McDowell, Jr., (fiancée, India), Keion McDowell, Korion Burrows-Rorie, Kaleb McDowell, Kayden McDowell, and Khrystian McDowell; siblings; Michael Ramsey, Dwight (Angela) McDowell III, Ronald Boone, Melissa (James) Lee, Cassandra McDowell, Joseph McDowell, Davenia McDowell, Darius McDowell, and Dakeena McDowell; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
