Josie Ann Lindsay, 74, of High Point, NC, departed this earthly life on Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at her residence. She was born on April 5, 1942, in Morven, NC to Thelma Deberry Brown.
Mrs. Lindsay moved to High Point, NC in January 1964. She was employed at High Point College and US Furniture Industries (Lampart division) until her retirement in 1997. she was a faithful member of Solid Rock Baptist Church; she was a deaconess and worked on the kitchen committee.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Phyllis Ann Lindsay, her mother, Thelma Deberry Brown and a brother, James Howard Deberry.
Josie leaves to cherish her memories, her husband of 53 years, Edward Lindsay Sr. of the home. Two daughters, Linda Lindsay and Delores Lindsay both of High Point, NC. Three sons; Johnnie Deberry, Edward Lindsay Jr., and Johnny (Brenda) Townsend of Morven, NC. Four sisters: Ruby (Ben) Streater of Morven, NC, Virginia Deberry, Nanny Deberry, Shellean Deberry of Cheraw, SC, Three brothers., Edward Deberry and Walter Deberry of Cheraw, SC and Jay Clayton Deberry of Raleigh, NC. Avery special aunt that was like a mother, Christine Marshall of Morven, NC, One uncle, Dewey Marshall of Greensboro, NC. A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and other relatives and friends. Special friends, Bettye Parson and Louise Williamson
